Peppersauce Campground and Cave: Day One

Finally, back to civilized camping. After months of roughing it in the wildness, we've decided to take a trip to Peppersauce Campground that has established sites, other people, and toilets (though after spending the last few months perfecting peeing in the wilderness, I would much rather do that than use a pit toilet).

We got here in the dark, of course, but the road here was super established until we passed the guest ranch. Then it got kind of rough...ish... not really. And we only had two close run ins with cows, so overall not a bad ride here.

We've already seen more nature than any other trips: Three sets of cows, an epic bird battle, and some sort of wild cat thing. Plus a baby bunny that Kevin tried to hit and a rattle snake that he actually did hit. Not to mention a ton of bugs.

One of these times I'm going to remember bug spray. (Since bugs are crawling all over my phone as I type this)

And now, time for some hobo stew. More tomorrow!
